In Florida It's Always Gardening Time
Yup, you don't get much of a break here. The strawberry festival's in February. We are a zone 9, so from a zone 8, we get warmer weather now. Cold weather veggies do well right now. I start the seeds in December. Things really grow very well here! Fast!
We had a little over one month of cold weather where the birdbath even froze. The ice melted in the afternoon getting up to the 50's. It's 77 right now. Heck next week we will be using the pool again.
Many things get harvested before the frost. New seeds are started and there you go again! Pictures of food, because some don't have anything else on their mind. We are on a very large property. We didn't have that in Kirkland WA.

Three of my uncles were all in the military. WW2. One in Air, one in Navy, and the Army.
I traveled to Australia saw the WW2 memorial in Perth. Then went to New Zealand. They wanted me to have papers and how long I was staying for. I was required to go back to the USA after a time. Unless I went through their laws to be able to stay there. This was in the 80's. Visit but go back home.
I just would like to know where were these cry babies, for the people that became victims, of illegal gangs? Was that somehow ok? I have always been against drugs. What the cartel was bringing was dangerous drugs that could kill! If they didn't make money their way, they then, rob from hardworking Americans and kill!

The human trafficking didn't just happen with children from the USA. I worked with a guy from Hungary. He was a refugee. But he became a US citizen. He came with papers to stay so long. However he was employed and doing quite well. After a few years, he took the test to became an American citizen. We all celebrated and went to the Space Needle for dinner. I arranged it all and threatened him, if he ever voted democrat, I would send him back myself! He laughed and thanked me, because being with Christian values and working hard for what one has, was the right way to live! Soon, he got married to another lovely woman that became a US citizen! I was their photographer for their wedding. They bought a house and built a life.
That is the American dream! Built on laws, laws that were long ignored by the democrat and RINO's. One president "0bama" pitted people against each other. It was the start, to destroy the very fabric of this nation. We are undoing it now and the dummies are kicking and screaming. Unbelievable!

We went out to a fancy place tonight for dinner. The mood was definitely positive! People looked happy and they were friendly! Getting Things Put Away
Yes, I did see the outcome of the funeral. It's all interesting, yes I can read lips. I won't share here. I never liked Karen or her husband! Mike sure turned out to be a backstabber! His wife Karen was always a frumpy woman to me. I didn't like her the first day I saw her.
You know what they say about first impressions. Very telling! Mike just hid his stupid more. Now I really know what to look for. There will be no living with me now!
Listening to pod casts, while putting the tree, the finished Christmas puzzle by Thomas Kinkade, lights and other Christmas things away, was quite entertaining for me. All but the fires that are raging in California. That is upsetting! I know some good folks that live there and pray for them. I will be honest though, they voted for Newsome. Well, not exactly the people we know voted for him. We know voting, like in Washington State, is the same corrupted outcome. We lived there, a few years ago, for far too long!
Now being in Florida, I feel all is good with our personal world again. We keep on enjoying our life, because we are coming to the end someday. Did you ever think twice about wanting something, thinking how long will I get to enjoy this now? I'm doing that!
I finally put my Christmas gift together. I got two fake trees, that are UV protected for outdoors. One is a yucca tree, the other a palm tree. The palm is 7ft tall! The yucca is about 5.5ft. Perfect!
It looks real! You see I have it on our patio. I have this issue, with having anything in a pot, with dirt in it, near me. If mushrooms grow, so do other fungus. I suffered with asthma, when I was a kid. As I get older, I don't need to have those issues. I actually do better than I did in Washington State! The pollen and mold category seems to be fine with me here. We are in a zone 9 we came from a zone 8. BTW can't wait to use the pool again! The first week of February is when it starts warming up again! It's been a month since we used it. Our cold snap is now. We did have ice in the birdbath this morning. It's supposed to be up to 68 tomorrow. It warmed up today too. Near the high 50's.
The butterfly garden was full of birds. Went to get my phone to take pictures and gone! Oh well next time. But isn't he beautiful!
I really missed my cardinals! They don't live in Washington State. Indiana had them though growing up. Not to mention the lightning bugs. I'm back in my element again! With land, a huge garden... But for how long? God knows, so I will continue to give my thanks to him!
