Dcat, I'm back intermittently and on a reduced schedule. Pain! Eye fatigue!
I have about 2/3 of the field of vision in operated eye, but the vision is far from 20/20.
Several procedures lie ahead. One is very likely another surgery to replace the dislocated intraocular lens placed in 1984 when I had cataract surgery on that same eye.
My next appointment with the retinal surgeon is on November 4.
Gosh AOW you were just a kid when you had the cataract surgery... It seems like 1984 was just yesterday!
My eyes are at the point of using those 3 for 12 dollars from Costco cheaters. I look like a teacher I had once that was always looking over her glasses at everyone. Now I know why! lol...
I keep putting off going to any doctor now more than ever! I will continue to keep you in my prayers AOW. Good to see you on line even if it is for a little while. I don't get on much only here and there. Too much to do around the house and at work I don't get on at all because I work. It seems I can't keep up! Too many lies from the left and they just keep twisting!
Past a certain age, all of us should have a pressure check and a retinal check once a year. I was getting all that done on a regular basis, and still this horrible thing happened to me. But at least I had a good relationship with an ophthalmic surgeon and, as a result, was able to access the best retinal surgeon in the area. More delay and I'd have lost all sight in the eye with the retinal detachment.

A W you live on the East Coast. Competence is more prevalent there.
