We had some excitement today! Lightning and the forest, some nice good looking young men came and put it out! Thank heavens for our fire department! We had all our sprinkler systems up and running before they came. Just in case the fire decided to jump around.
It was cool to see the bolt and boom right after saying, "oh cool", we looked at each other and thought, ok time to see where it went. I could smell smoke so we kept looking. Got a text from a neighbor that had no electricity, I told her we had electricity but now looking for a fire. Come on over!
Hubby spotted the flames. Here we go into action. All is well. The fire is gone and the poor tree got a scar right down the side. Everything around it got burned including a wild palm growing in the bush. We have great neighbors near by! The phone tree was placed. Now this is a neighborhood! WHOOT!
