My cardinals are coming around to eat. Today I had my camera with me. Usually they let me get pretty close, but today I still had the bag of food in my hand. I don't like to disturb them while they are eating, they don't seem to mind I am around. Even the woodpeckers know who I am. However they didn't show up for the photo shoot. There are about three different species of woodpeckers. Red bellied, downy and pileated.
I am thinking that the birds all miss me at our old house. Now I have more! With the woods all around us, it is better for the birds here. The winters are better for them too! We are still seeing butterflies! The flowers are popping! Year-around beauty here! Free from slavery!
