WASHINGTON — GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Good morning.
This week I met with the generals who are overseeing our efforts in Iraq — Generals Abizaid and Casey — to discuss our strategy for victory. They updated me on the operations in Baghdad last weekend in which Iraqi and coalition forces tracked down and killed the second most wanted al Qaeda leader in Iraq. This brutal killer was a top lieutenant of the terrorist Zarqawi. He was also one of the terrorists responsible for the recent wave of attacks in the Iraqi capital, which is part of the terrorist campaign to halt political progress in Iraq, by stopping this month's referendum on the Iraqi constitution.

Our strategy in Iraq is clear: We're hunting down deadly terrorist leaders. We're conducting aggressive counterterrorism operations in the areas where the terrorists are concentrated. We are constantly adapting our tactics to the changing tactics of the terrorists, and we're training more Iraqi forces to assume increasing responsibility for their country's security.
The growing size and increasing capability of the Iraqi security forces are helping our coalition address a challenge we have faced since the beginning of the war. It used to be that after we cleared the terrorists out of a city there were not enough qualified Iraqi troops to maintain control, so if we left to conduct missions in other areas of Iraq, the terrorists would try to move back in.

Now the increasing number of more capable Iraqi troops has allowed us to keep a better hold on the cities we have taken from the terrorists. The Iraqi troops know their people and their language, and they know who the terrorists are. By leaving Iraqi units in the cities we have cleared out, we can keep those cities safe, while moving on to hunt down the terrorists in other parts of the country.

We used this approach recently in Iraq's northwest region where Iraqi and coalition forces targeted an area that was one of the main routes for foreign terrorists entering Iraq from Syria. During operations in the key town of Tal Afar, Iraqi security forces outnumbered coalition forces for the first time in a major offensive operation. Because of our joint efforts, hundreds of insurgents and terrorists have been killed, or captured, or flushed out, and our continued efforts will make it more difficult for foreign terrorists to enter Iraq.

As part of our strategy, Iraqi forces have stayed behind in Tal Afar to ensure that the terrorists cannot return and regroup. And coalition and Iraqi troops are pursuing the terrorists in western Iraq, working to deny Al Qaeda a safe haven there, and to stop terrorists from crossing into the country through Syria.

I'm encouraged by the increasing size and capability of the Iraqi security forces. Today they have more than 100 battalions operating throughout the country, and our commanders report that the Iraqi forces are serving with increasing effectiveness. In fact, this week coalition forces were able to turn over security responsibility for one of Iraq's largest cities, Karbala, to Iraqi soldiers. As Iraqi forces show they're capable of fighting the terrorists, they are earning the trust and confidence of the Iraqi people, which will ensure the success of a free and democratic Iraq.

More difficult and dangerous work still lies ahead. The terrorists have a history of escalating their attacks before Iraq's major political milestones, and two elections are fast approaching. In two weeks, Iraqis will vote on a democratic constitution, and if that constitution is approved, they will return to the polls later this year to elect a fully constitutional government.
As Iraqis take these next steps on the path to freedom and democracy, the terrorists will do everything they can to stop this progress and try to break our will. They will fail. Defeating the terrorists in Iraq will require more time and more sacrifice. Yet all Americans can have confidence in the military commanders who are leading the effort in Iraq, and in the troops under their command. They have made important gains in recent weeks and months; they are adapting our strategy to meet the needs on the ground; and they're helping us to bring victory in the war on terror.

Same Sad Story

This article is signed by urban legend: University of Mississippi Medical Center, who wanted to find out first hand about the destruction in the Gulf coast. Just to warn you, there are some swear words but if you understand his frustration at what he experienced you may be able to over look them.
Sad Situation
Thought I might inform the few friends I have on my recent traumatic experience. I am going to tell it straight, blunt, raw, and I don't give a damn. Long read, I know but please do read!!!
I went to volunteer on Saturday at the George R. Brown convention center for two reasons.
A: I wanted to help people to get a warm fuzzy.
B: Curiosity.
I've been watching the news lately and have seen scenes that have made me want to vomit. And no it wasn't dead bodies, the city under water, or the sludge everywhere. It was PEOPLE'S BEHAVIOR. The people on T.V., (99% being Black) were DEMANDING help. They were not asking nicely but demanding as if society owed these people something.
Well, the honest truth is WE DON'T. Help should be asked for in a kind manner and then appreciated. This is not what the press (FOX in particular) was showing, what I was seeing was a group of people who are yelling, demanding, looting, killing, raping, and SHOOTING back at the demanded help!!!!!
So I'm thinking this can't possibly be true can it????
So I decide to submit to the DEMAND for help out of SHOCK. I couldn't believe this to be true of the majority of the people who are the weakest of society. So I went to volunteer and help folks out and see the truth. So I will tell the following story and you decide:
I arrived at the astrodome only to find out that there were too many volunteers and that volunteers were needed at the George R. Brown Convention Center. As I was walking up to the Convention Center I noticed a line of cars that wrapped around blocks filled with donations. These were ordinary Houstonians coming with truckloads and trunks full of water, diapers, clothes, blankets, food, all types of good stuff.
Lots of it was NEW. I felt that warm fuzzy while helping unload these vehicles of these wonderful human beings. I then went inside the building and noticed approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of clothes, shoes, jackets, toys and all types of goodies all organized and ready for the people in need. I signed up, received a name badge and was on my merry way excited to be useful.
I toured the place to get familiar with my surroundings; the entire place is probably around 2 million sq. ft. I noticed rows as far as the eye can see of mattresses, not cots, BLOW UP MATTRESSES!!! All of which had nice pillows and plenty of blankets. 2 to 3 bottles of water lay on every bed. These full size to queen size beds by the way were comfortable, I laid in one to see for myself. I went to look at the medical area. I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing!!! A makeshift hospital created in 24 hours!!!
It was unbelievable, they even had a pharmacy.
I also noticed that they created showers, which would also have hot water. I went upstairs to the third floor to find a HUGE cafeteria created in under 24 hours! Rows of tables, chairs and food everywhere - enough to feed an army! I'm not talking about crap food either. They had Jason's deli food, apples, oranges, coke, diet coke, lemonade, orange juice, cookies, all types of chips and sandwiches. All the beverages by the way were put on ice and chilled!!!! In a matter of about 24 hours or less an entire mini-city was erected by volunteers for the poor evacuees.
This was not your rundown crap shelter, it was BUM HEAVEN. So that was the layout: great food, comfy beds, clean showers, free medical help, by the way there was a library, and a theatre room that I forgot to mention. Great stuff right????
Well here is what happened on my journey -
I started by handing out COLD water bottles to evacuees as they got off the bus. Many would take them and only 20% or less said thank you. Lots of them would shake their heads and ask for sodas! So this went on for about 20-30 minutes until I was sick of being an unappreciated servant. I figured certainly these folks would appreciate some food!!!
So I went upstairs to serve these beloved evacuees some GOOD food that I wish I could have at the moment!
***The following statements are graphic, truthful, and discuss UNRATIONAL behavior***
Evacuees come slowly to receive this mountain of food that is worth serving to a king! I tell them that we have 2 types of great deli sandwiches to choose from - ham and turkey. Many look at the food in disgust and DEMAND burgers, pizza, and even McDonalds!!!! Jason's deli is better than McDonalds!!!!
Only 1 out of ten people who took something would say "thank you" the rest took items as if it was their God given right to be served without a shred of appreciation!!! They would ask for Beer and liquor. They complained that we didn't have good enough food. They refused food and laughed at us.
They treated us volunteers as if we where SLAVES. No not all of them of course, but 70% did!!!!!! 20% were appreciative, 10% took the food without any comment and the other 70% had some disgusting comment to say.
Some had the nerve to laugh at us. And when I snapped back at them for being mean, they would curse at me!!! Needless to say I was in utter shock. They would eat their food and leave their mess on the table. Some would pick up their stuff, many would leave it for the volunteers to pick up.
I left that real quick to go down and help set up some more beds. I saw many young ladies carrying mattresses and I helped for a while. Then I realized something. There were hundreds of able bodied young men who could help!!
I asked a group of young evacuees in their teens and early twenties to help. I got cursed at me for asking them to help!!! One said "We just lost our f***ing homes and you want us to work!!" The next said "Ya Cracker, you got a home we don't" I looked at them in disbelief. Here are women walking by carrying THEIR BEDS and they can't lift a finger and help themselves!!
WHY SHOULD I HELP PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO HELP THEMESELVES!!!!
I waved them off and turned away and was laughed at and more "white boy jokes" were made at me. I felt no need to waste my breath on a bunch of pitiful losers. I went to a nearby restroom where I noticed a man shaving. I used the restroom, washed my hands and saw this man throw his razor towards the trash can...he missed. He walked out leaving his disgusting razor on the floor for some other "cracker" to pick up.
Even the little kids were demanding. I saw only ONE white family and only TWO Hispanic families. The rest where blacks. Sorry 20% to 30% decent blacks, and 70% LOSERS!!!!!
I would call them N*****S, but the actual definition of a n*****r is one who is ignorant, these people were not ignorant..they were ARROGANT A**HOLES. The majority of which are thugs and lifetime lazy ass welfare recipients. We are inviting the lowest of the low to Houston, and like idiots we are serving the people who will soon steal our cars, rape, murder, and destroy our city while stealing from our pockets on a daily basis through the welfare checks they take.
We will fund our own destruction. By "US" I don't mean a specific race, I mean the people who work hard, work smart, have values and morals. Only people who want to help themselves should be helped, the others should be allowed to destroy themselves.
I do not want to work hard, give the government close to half the money I earn so they can in turn give it to a bunch of losers. I don't believe in being poor for life. My family immigrated here, we came here poor, and now thank God, and due to HARD WORK we are doing fine.
If immigrants, who come here, don't know the language can work and become successful... WHY CAN'T THE MAJORITY OF THE HOMEGROWN DO IT!!!
If we continue to reward these losers then we will soon destroy our great country. I just witnessed selfish, arrogant, unappreciative behavior by the very people who need help the most. Now these same people who cursed me, refused my cities generosity, who refuse to help themselves are DEMANDING handouts on their own terms!!!!!!!
They prance around as if they are owed something, and when they do receive a handout, they say it's not good enough! Well you know what..these types of people can go to hell for all I care! --------------------------------------------------------urban legend!

President GWB to Blame..."I don't think so"

In case you aren’t familiar with how our government is SUPPOSED to work:The chain of responsibility for the protection of the citizens in New Orleans is:

1. The Mayor
2. The New Orleans director of Homeland Security (a political appointee of the Governor who reports to the Governor)
3. The Governor
4. The Head of Homeland Security
5. The President
What did each do?

1. The mayor, with 5 days advance, waited until 2 days before he announced a mandatory evacuation (at the behest of the President). The he failed to provide transportation for those without transport even though he had hundreds of buses at his disposal.
2. The New Orleans director of Homeland Security failed to have any plan for a contingency that has been talked about for 50 years. Then he blames the Feds for not doing what he should have done. (So much for political appointees)
3. The Governor, despite a declaration of disaster by the President 2 DAYS BEFORE the storm hit, failed to take advantage of the offer of Federal troops and aid. Until 2 DAYS AFTER the storm hit.
4. The Director of Homeland Security positioned assets in the area to be ready when the Governor called for them
5. The President urged a mandatory evacuation, and even declared a disaster State of Emergency, freeing up millions of dollars of federal assistance, should the Governor decide to use it.
Oh and by the way, the levees that broke were the responsibility of the local landowners and the local levee board to maintain, NOT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
The disaster in New Orleans is what you get after decades of corrupt (democrat) government going all the way back to Huey Long.
Funds for disaster protection and relief have been flowing into this city for decades, and where has it gone, but into the pockets of the politicos and their friends.
Decades of socialist government in New Orleans has sapped all self reliance from the community, and made them dependent upon government for every little thing.
Political correctness and a lack of will to fight crime have created the single most corrupt police force in the country, and has permitted gang violence to flourish.
The sad thing is that there are many poor folks who have suffered and died needlessly because those that they voted into office failed them.

Fourth Anniversary of 9-11

We have come a long way from that tragic day but we will never forget. My feelings, that day was to do a ritual on terror. I wrote an email to George W. Bush, ‘saying ok are you going to just sit there or are you going to do something about it!? I even got a reply a few weeks later. By golly he got the army built up and then acted out the start of going after the culprits one by one! Terrorists are still running rampant but their time is just about up. The action taken was better then the alternative of not acting on the situation and maybe even having more attacks to keep us in fear.

With the Saudis killing two of the Al-Qaeda’s on the list of the most wanted makes me think that it will catch on with all the nations. I think it is apparent that all nations be vigilant because like in Iraq there are normal individuals living there too. We just don’t hear about them because of lame stream media!

I would like to also acknowledge all of the Iraqi people that I have met. I would love to have anyone of them at my home. What a great friendship that was made from this horrific time. I was angry and wanted to blow the whole ME up when 9-11 happened! Then I found these three brothers Omar, Mohammed, and Ali on line in Iraq. A blog that they had operated from a coffee shop at first because they could not afford to have their own! It was called IRAQ THE MODEL.

I am updating this along the way to the date of 9-11 with what this friendship means. Here is a link Iraqi People give to the storm victims! This was from Iraq the model. It would do you some good to read what Omar said. Here these people are struggling themselves and they want to give and thank the Americans for all of our help to them. Dam it Omar you did it to me again! Where is the puffs with aloe when you need it!!! A big thank you to the Iraqi people!

After reading and wiping away tears I found I had mixed emotional feelings. Anger and compassion consumed me to the point of emailing Omar. Good GOD he wrote back!!! It was a better letter then I wrote! It was like a letter from a rock star and I still feel like that when I get a response! I kept writing telling them what a back a--- country bla, bla, bla… Each time an explanation was followed with a post and a response. A donation was made to them and I started to understand what these people were living under. As I blogged I uncovered more and more. Amazing what you will learn when you just communicate with the right kind of people.

Taking care of terrorism and helping people along the way is what it is all about. I feel that through this tragedy, ‘a new world will rise from the ashes. Everyone will come around to note what has to be done and will do it for humanity. For all our generations to continue, we have to start now to make it right and all the deaths for not.

Lord of light we ask you for your guidance.

Katrina the Storm vs. the People

I went to work today and found out that all the medical facilities in our area have been called for help in placing residents and patients. Yes there is room here and even homes that are being opened to people to stay. There was a family that drove here to Washington State from New Orleans. They only packed a few things thinking they would return home. I guess they just heard on the news and kept on driving. This is a sad time indeed.

Pets are now being rescued by people that just left and didn’t think they would be gone this long. Some will make it others will not. This is how disasters are. It usually doesn’t care who you are. If you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time you will feel its wrath.

I’m also aware at the pointing of fingers even from the other counties. Another reminder here is that we will never stop fighting for our freedom or others. We will not give in to terror even in the face of disaster. If you need a reminder read my Jihad degenerates post. This is my reminder to those countries now pointing the finger!

Labor Day

This Labor Day is being observed by the country cleaning up from the tropical hurricane called Katrina. Once again we have the voices of many who felt that nothing was done right to evacuate, assist or rescue. That same crowed of argument are the frustrated Bush lied, its Bushes fault scenario.

My blog is here to stay folks and I will add that it will paint a bad portrait of these people of disagreement. Their logic boggles the mind and so before they can say Bush alienated the other countries I have proof of that fallacy with this post right here; Donations Coming from All Over I also offer the links at the end of the post. Not to rub anyone’s face in it but to [..] open a few eyes that were closed to anger and disappointment, along with blame.

Parallels to Iraq in Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS -- A month ago, this steamy riverfront offered Michael Rogers a much-needed vacation after a year's tour in Iraq. His head was spinning when he returned in his National Guard uniform, unable to shake the similarities to his time on the streets of Baghdad.

Iraq's deputy ambassador to the United Nations yesterday drew a comparison between the way U.S. troops have been sent to New Orleans to put down looting and the failure in 2003 of coalition forces to halt looting in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities.
Emphasizing that he was speaking as an individual and not in his official capacity, Deputy Ambassador Feisal Amin Istrabadi said at a meeting of the American Political Science Association that he thought about the U.S. forces' lack of action two years ago to halt the extensive looting in Baghdad as he followed the events in New Orleans. He added: "I hope others did, too."

Iraq is Doing Fine

It is like always and a day the radical Islamist problem of getting past the “for the people” instead of Islam. They will be made to do it whether they want to or not! I don’t think they can survive the alternate. I will keep that point to myself.

I think the Palestinians should not watch there back because I really don’t care about them and so why should they be warned. My sarcasms at work again so I do have a little taste for you in the news. Analysis: Jordan is another base of operations for Al-Qaida. Oh and what I have been feeling all along… While Abbas, a frequent critic of the armed uprising, is seen as the moderate voice among Palestinians, he is facing a severe test of his popularity from the hardliners of Hamas who are portraying the Israeli departure from Gaza as a "victory for the resistance." I guess we will just see about that one. Interesting outcome may be in the near future of the destruction of the Palestinians. Looks like you will have to stay tuned for that indeed! The world is, with eyes wide open now.

Cindy you should be upset with the countries such as France, and all the other’s that backed out! We need help and look at how they just stepped back! But soon as something happens in their country they will scream for US military to help them. You think there are killings now this will be nothing to what can be. Would you like it in your back yard instead? I don’t!

Ok so we pull our troops out then what?! I’ll be damn if I will give into Islam! I would die first myself! No way in hell would a dictator rule my life! I’m also angry at people in other countries that did in the first place! You think they are just going to say ‘oh ok the Americans are gone, now we can go back to raping women and killing people that don’t agree with us then we will build our military to get rid of the US all together. Just as I have moved far away from my own family's back end point of view and their own screwed up culture!

Rose Baghdad was once in Baghdad and now feeling safe in Dubai. I just read her post and she was concerned about enough doctors in Baghdad. Most of the doctors have moved out she went on to say. Now it is difficult to leave Baghdad. She still would like to return to Baghdad someday. Let’s hope this will happen for them.

I am thinking terrorists are really desperate now. I mean what else, can they do but attack in a cowardly fashion. Did you know they found a tunnel in Washington State between the borders? I have long thought of that going on and bet that isn’t the only one! We need to start searching and we need Canada to get tough on their borders. The same episode can happen here if we let down our guard. Seems like not too many were injured this time, ‘which is fortunate.

What they need besides this aggressive investigation is an aggressive check on the borders to the country! Stop the stupid lily whites from crossing! All cells need to be sought out and destroyed!

They are hiding like rats in the communities of good people. The people are not good until they start turning in the criminals! One problem is they are unaware and think they are friends of these good people. One needs to really investigate the surroundings. Say some stuff that will piss off the criminals and then there is your answer. Not easy at all!

Members of the United Nations Security Council have agreed to hand over documents requested by the investigator of the Iraq oil-for-food scandal, Paul Volcker.

The documents date from 1992 and are believed to be notes made at private meetings of the panel that was responsible for the scheme.
The former head of the UN's oil-for-food program, Benon Sevon, who is alleged to have received oil allocations, last year accused the Security Council of preventing him from administering the program effectively.

Mr Volcker asked for all the documents, but the UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, who supported the request, had to secure the approval of all the member states.

It is unclear if the investigation is seeking the documents in order to investigate others, or the deliberations of the committee itself.
In any case, the documents may reveal the politics behind the program: which countries advocated for their nationals to win contracts.
At issue is what members of the Security Council knew about the corruption of the scheme, which was intended to allow Iraq to sell oil to buy humanitarian goods.

Saddam Hussein subverted the program by allocating oil contracts to those he wanted to influence or reward.
It has long been rumoured that members of the Security Council ignored the complaints about kickbacks and pay-offs as their countries' companies profited from the scheme.
The investigating committee already has some documents relating to the scheme. It has obtained, through US congressional committees, some of the United States' records of meetings, as well as records held by individual UN officials.
They are reported to show council members were aware of numerous irregularities in oil contracts, but often could not agree on a course of action.
The inquiry will now examine one of the central dilemmas of the administration of the UN - how to balance national concerns with merit appointments and the awarding of contracts.
An earlier Volcker report detailed how Lloyd's was awarded a contract to inspect goods going into Iraq because it was felt that a French firm could not be appointed because two French firms had already won contracts.

Victims of terror attacks should be recognized no matter where they take place! Does it make it any less important that it was a different country or race? Usually the ones that get attacked never seen it coming or they never did anything wrong in their entire life to deserve it!

The worse thing is the people that disregard the act of violence to the victim and the family! It seems the court system and the far left are way too concerned about the criminal’s well being instead! There is something seriously wrong with this! They are way too busy being concerned about the criminal’s conditions and how they are treated. My question is why?! Once found guilty take away appeals! Especially for murder! To me criminals are terrorists! There is no difference!

I also would like to see each group of people that were murdered no matter where it is to be recognized! In this instant I am referring to the mass graves and murders of the innocent Iraqi people! They are with the almighty now. Terrorist please know this: “You are damned by your actions!” ‘You will be dealt with I assure you if not here by the here after!

Let us all reflect on the deaths that have taken place in the name of freedom and hope that more will understand what this means, ‘so that evil will be defeated and a better life is to follow for all!

If Only the Olympics were Held In France

Another Fox News host, John Gibson, said before the blasts that the International Olympic Committee "missed a golden opportunity" by not awarding the 2012 games to France. "If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn't worry about terrorism. They'd blow up Paris, and who cares?" He added: "This is why I thought the Brits should let the French have the Olympics - let somebody else be worried about guys with backpack bombs for a while."

Kelo vs City of New London

John Hinderaker of Power Line discusses Kelo vs. City of New London today: Second Thoughts On KelO. It seems that a lot of the hoopla about Eminent Domain and property rights in this case has been a bit overblown.

His Daily Standard article (linked to from the Blog post)concludes with:
