Thanksgiving is getting closer, the turkey is in the fridge, the stuffing will be made the night before. We just had to have a nice Florida evening.
It's getting dark early here in Florida now. Almost 6 o'clock and it's dusk! The place we picked honored the Vets. Every place we go its like this and the people of Florida in our area. Well we are considered red necks. I happen to like that title! I am from podunk Indiana after all! Don't underestimate us.
The hole in the wall places are the best! Some, have it set up like you're in someone's home. This place was closed for remodeling, they called it. But we know it was, because of a flood. We tried to go there to eat a few weeks ago, just hubby and I. We took out the little sports car, that we got when we moved here, three years ago. Yes, we are back to two cars now. The water was really moving, along the flooded road and thought nope! There was another place that wasn't flooded, a mile up. We ended up there. That is another fantastic place. But this one is closer to the Gulf.
As you get closer to the Gulf, you see homes and a clearing. What a beautiful sunset on the way! This is just the afterglow. I can see why people sacrifice to live in a flood zone area. One day of terror in a place that is beautiful the rest of the time. Many do evacuate and put things up high in the home. I don't want to do that! I can go and enjoy it on nice days. It's only 10 miles away! Some places on the sands are just a little farther out, is all.
The color of the evening sky as well!
Another one of Gods art work, to be enjoyed!
