The Democrats are running so many candidates because their party is shattered. Their identity politics have sorely bit them in the ass. They will use all these people to gather donations and then hone one for "the choice" using what the others have said that people responded positively to. Of course that is what Bernie was in 2016, only now, Bernie doesn't have the draw he did. Here's the problem with this plan. The Dems use echo chambers to reaffirm each other. They are their own "yes men". Everything else is "hate speech" to them. That's why they love this New Green Deal. Distraction from all they've been saying. A new topic no matter how ridiculous. They are going to do everything to rewrite themselves and appear transformed.
