Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), a former Army lieutenant colonel, sends THE WEEKLY STANDARD an email commenting on the Marines' video, and has given us permission to publish it.
“I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.
“All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?
“The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.
“As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”
I would like to see them defecate on those corps as well!

West is absolutely correct in his defense of the Marines. Our people have been subject to far worse at the hands of the barbarian enemy. But, as I've pointed out for years, we should expect barbaric behavior from barbarians while a higher standard is expected from our guys, the representatives of the civilized world.
I wrote about Menchaca and Tucker and was sickened by the treatment the two soldiers were subjected by armed jihadis.
Some are comparing the pissing incident to the stupidity at Abu Ghraib and maybe there is some comparison. The difference is major though. At Abu Ghraib real acts were committed whether we call them torture or not is a matter of debate. The Marines, however, didn't piss on anyone or anything. Watch the 1:25 video, Urinating Marines Piss Off US Officials , and it's clear nothing happened.

The fact that they didn’t get to kill me first, you do have to be at that point and the sniveling little fucked up leftist and everyone else just don’t get it because they are closet cases! Nothing ever happened to them so how would they know anything! They talk out of their asses most of the time!
It would be like the guy in the fireplace! If it would have been me with the upper hand he would have been toast!
I value my life and I respect those military men and what they went through OORAH for them! Fuck the sniveling PC for the wrong team leftests!

The only reason that the mainstream media jumped on this story is to discredit our military -- and to promote Muslim victimhood at the hands of the nasty crusaders.
Military matters should be handled within the military system.
Meanwhile, of course, BHO wants to have talks with the Taliban. This story plays into that hand as well.
